I am a partner, principal consultant, and author at PM Power Consulting. I have 44 years experience in the IT and software industry.

I have written and published three books for PM Power Consulting – one on Project and Program Management and two on Agile – and am in the process of writing a book on Leadership. I have also written and published two other books, one a novel set in ancient India and one a book on the Sanskrit language, and am in the process of writing a book on Indian calendars. After the first four years of software development, I have worked in managerial and leadership positions throughout my career. These include project and program management and Line of Business management with the Tatas, setting up and running an India Unix Development Centre for Digital Equipment Corporation, starting and running a software startup dealing with embedded systems, creating and implementing the IT strategy in 45 countries for the NGO ActionAid International and creating an asset management strategy for a large financial organization.

Having built an extensive knowledge base in IT services, software engineering, project and program management, and general management and leadership, I have worked with, managed, led, mentored, and coached professionals of diverse cultures and countries. My professional interests include the art and science of program management, promoting excellence in IT services, CIO mentoring and coaching and leadership

I am an alumnus of IIT Madras.

My personal interests include writing for enjoyment, studying and interpreting ancient Indian writings, writing limericks, travel (I have travelled to around 40 countries) and promoting humour as a way of life. I am also learning to play the guitar.
