Arjuna was the program manager of a large program with many projects under its umbrella. One of
the projects seemed to be suffering from a lack of focus on a technical requirement, namely
response time. Even though the project team started off being completely aware of the importance
of this requirement, after a couple of months of development, it was found in testing that this
requirement was nowhere close to being met.
Arjuna had many discussions with the project manager and the team to figure out why this was
happening.
In your mind, what could have been the reasons for this project losing its focus? What would have
enabled earlier detection and preventive measures being taken?
