Have nearly 30-years of experience, a seasoned leader in Software Engineering. Have spent most of the time in analysis, coding, training, coaching, mentoring and exploring alternate ways of developing software applications. He has extensive experience in a number of functional domains – such as – manufacturing, retail, logistics, finance, insurance, telecommunication, e-governance, life sciences, sporting etc. Sairam, spent over four years in academics, teaching advanced computing courses, with a special focus on Large Databases, parallel architecture for scaling and high-performance computing.
Adopted IID (iterative and Incremental Development) in 1994 and continued with TDD – Pair Programing and Scrum since 1999. Around this time,
successfully adopted Scrum and built a crucial revenue system, a world bank funded e-governance project. Strong in applying Lean Principles, in the area of Product Management, Product Backlog Creation – defining MVP. Successful in driving a mindset shift from a project to a product perspective which is considered essential for adopting Agile.Experimentation enthusiastic – creating process experiments and shorter feedback loops – a must for an empirical process model. His current focus is on organizational design and systems thinking for successful scaling of Agile.
In his last assignment he was Director and Head of Agile CoE for Analytics and Information Management at Cognizant Technology Solutions.
