With over 35 years of experience, I am a seasoned leader in software delivery and organization development catalyzing excellence initiatives for customers as a mentor/coach and consultant.
As a Principal Consultant and founder-member at PM Power, I have designed and delivered competency development programs that train, mentor, and coach leaders and teams to achieve personal and organizational growth and I was also instrumental in the development of PM Power frameworks and self-paced e-learning modules to support the above programs. In the past ten years, I have coached over 500 managers spanning over a dozen organizations pursuing delivery excellence.
I began my career as a software engineer at Tata Unisys Ltd (now part of Tata Consultancy Services) in Mumbai. My experience during that time spanned many technical platforms and roles ranging from developer to tester to Delivery Manager servicing major multinationals in the US, UK and Europe.
Subsequently, I worked for the ANZ Banking Group where I led the establishment and growth of ANZ’s Bangalore-based software delivery organization (Global Capability Center). As General Manager, I led the support of software applications across multiple geographies, including the UK, the Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand.
After ANZ, I joined iGATE (now part of Cap Gemini). As a BU Head at iGATE, I was responsible for software delivery from engineering centers in Bangalore and Chennai, overseeing large Offshore Development Centers for US and UK-based clients in electronics retail, manufacturing, and software product development
Academic experience: In addition to my corporate experience, I have been an Adjunct Professor at the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI) delivering courses to MBA students in IT, software and project management.
Personal interests: I am an ardent fan of movie classics (Casablanca, Psycho, Sholay, Anand, Ponniyin Selvan to name a few). I am a diehard foodie having tried exotic cuisine in many lands. I am also a lover of physical books and have a substantial collection at home across many genres.
Story-telling is very important in training to connect with the class and make sessions lively, fun and effective. Story-telling goes much beyond as a vital leadership skill to inspire, motivate and influence change in organizations. Helping people develop it has been very rewarding for participants in our emerging leaders program.
