Agile, Project Management

I believe story-telling is very important in training and coaching – even in such serious topics like Program and Delivery Management. When I create stories aka case studies that are very contextual, it is that much more effective and fun for the learners
(and for me as well!)

Let's Dig More About Me !!

Before I walk you through my professional life, let me tell you some fun facts about myself! One, I am a movie & TV buff- I have seen classics like Casablanca, Psycho, Sholay to name a few more than a dozen times each and now the many web series on OTT platforms. I am totally hooked on Peter Sellers, Anthony Hopkins, Tom
Hanks, and Julia Roberts. Two, I revel in food adventurism – trying the exotic in many lands! Three, I am a lover of physical books and have a sizeable collection across many genres at home.
Here’s what I have been doing apart from watching movies and trying exotic food! As a Principal Consultant at PM Power, I am involved in many offerings for competency development of Project Managers and Delivery Managers. I have assisted a number of organizations in their agile transformation journeys through training, coaching and consulting.
I started my career in Tata Unisys Limited (now merged with TCS), Mumbai as a software engineer and moved on to leadership positions in software delivery management in India and the US.

Subsequently, I worked for the ANZ Banking Group and led the growth of its captive software organization in Bangalore supporting ANZ operations in multiple geographies; USA, UK, Middle East, Australia and New Zealand.
After ANZ, I moved to iGATE (now part of Cap Gemini) to head delivery operations in Bangalore & Chennai where I managed programs and large Offshore Development Centres (ODCs) for US and UK-based customer organizations in electronics retail, manufacturing and software product development.
I have been involved in the academic world as well as adjunct faculty delivering full semester courses for senior MBA students.
One more fun fact to finish my write up with – In school, I played kabbadi with gusto, given my king size advantage – till I tore a knee ligament! I then tried out cricket as a left-handed opening batter. But then, I got kicked out since the rival team bowlers kept complaining to the umpire that when I batted, they could not make out where the stumps were (I am still referred to as “Big Shiv” for good reason!).
